KWA M4 GBBR MAGPUL EDITION
KWA USA announced another product release yesterday, the latest news regarding the KWA LM4. The KWA M4 GBBR Magpul Edition was revealed in a news post with a few teaser photos at kwausa.com. The most surprising thing about the KWA Magpul M4 gas blowback rifle is that the base rifle, the KWA LM4, has not yet been released.

KWA’s Magpul M4 GBB Carbine will feature a number of MAPGUL items, including a MAGPUL PTS Licensed lower receiver, MBUS, MAGPUL PTS MOE Stock, Grip, and Hanguard, and a brand new PMAG design. The MAGPUL lower receiver features an integral flared trigger guard and texturing on the front of the magwell. Both the Magpul GBBR M4 and the KWA LM4 use KWA’s NS2 Force Velocity system, the rifle version of the highly regarded NS2 system found in KWA’s Professional Training Pistols. KWA states that the system is designed to simulate the recoil of a real rifle without the need for simunitions or blanks.

Honestly, we are very glad to see that Magpul PTS has partnered with KWA to produce their M4 GBBR. We have talked with Magpul PTS regarding their gas blowback rifles and their desire to find a partner to develop GBBR technology. At the SHOT Show a few years ago, we urged Magpul PTS to consider partnering with KWA USA in regards to the possibility of a Gas Blowback Masada conversion kit. We’re excited to see the KWA Magpul M4, especially since it may mean that we’ll see a KWA MAGPUL PTS Masada GBBR down the road.

KWA’s original press release states that the Magpul M4 GBB rifle will initially only be available in Asia. The ATF has not yet approved the design for import into the US, so we won’t see it on our shores until that happens. However, since the product does appear to finally be ready for distribution, maybe the KWA LM4 won’t be far behind. Who knows, perhaps the KWA LM4 will even beat the KWA Magpul PTS model to the market. But who are we kidding, everyone knows the MAGPUL model will be the big seller.

Start saving your pennies, because the KWA LM4 won’t be cheap, and the Magpul PTS M4 GBB will be even more. However, once it comes out, expect it to change the Gas Blowback Rifle market. We expect that it will be the best performing, most reliable GBBR ever released, and people are already chomping at the bit to get it in the US. We will have them available for pre-order as soon as the ATF approves the design and KWA USA gets them inbound. As always, leave it to KWA USA to keep everyone excited and produce products that really are engineered to outperform.
Thoughts? Opinions?

I for one, am looking forward to it's release... and I believe I saw somewhere not too long ago that ATF had approved it's latest revised design

Is this based on the WA magna system? If so I wonder what the mag compatibility would be like. And I'm crossing my fingers that the Magpul lower will actually be based on the same dimensions as the real firearm and not the G&P one!

I as well, I live near 3 gun shops that have very cheap receivers, so it'd be nice if I could just drop in there and buy that...

And if they're using new PMAGs dedicated to M4s, or the like, I'm sure KJW/WA/WETTI mags will be compatible, since those guns (from what I've heard) use real-steel bodies as well

....
Nein, Nyet, No, iie

KSC/KWA M4 GBB uses System 7 Two (next gen of System 7)

-The mag are propiertary, they're around $60USD each in HK
-Does NOT use real-steel body, it's not even 1:1 in terms of milimeters wise.

It uses KSC/KWA ball bearing hopup design.

one thing for sure...
It's going to be more reliable than WE's but less pretty externally than GHK.

I am wondering though, if their M4 was made to be incompatible with a lot of RS parts, will their AK be the same?

Amazing gun, I put a small review up a while back.

The bolt assembly is reinforced at the contact points, she is very solid and the recoil is very strong. Gets about 410-420 fps, around 13rps, the hopup adjustment is inside the bolt opening, you get a tool to adjust it.

Overall? Very satisfied with this gun, well worth the money. The one I have is still "banned" in the US, you can get the gun from Garrison Airsoft in the AV retailer section.

Its hanging on my wall, waiting for some summer games!
