EHobbyAsia....are they the devil?

Hello all, I just wanted to get some community feedback on dealing with ehobbyasia.com. I want to purchase the Magpul Masada ACR and when I contacted them they said that they could ship the rifle to me BUT...I had to assume the responsibility if the rifle gets "jacked" at the border by Canada Customs. In essence, they are saying if the rifle ends up in purgatory I cannot go back to them and whine about it.

Has anyone ordered a rifle from these guys? Did you get said product with no hassle from the feds? Feedback would be much appreciated.

YOU CANNOT IMPORT AIRSOFT GUNS
GO READ THE FAQ's!

they are a great retailer but as mentioned you cannot import an airsoft gun from outside canada

they basically told you
go ahead try but we cannot guarantee it'll get through, if it doesnt its not our fault and dont expect any help.

also
nobody here will help you acquire a gun until you are age verified as per site rules

HMMM....thanks for the reply RITZ, one question though....were you yelling at me or was the caps lock stuck.

As for the content of the tread...it seems that ehobbyasia mislead me it would seem.

On the subject of age verification...it has been done and will be updated soon me hopes so we can get past all the hostility towards those not yet age verified.

If you re-read the original question, it had NOTHING to do with soliciting anyones help in obtaining ANY weapons whatsoever...I was merely inquiring as to the general reliability of ehobbyasia.

if you had read the faq's you would have realized they did not mislead you
if you used the search button you would have found information about ehobby
if you are getting verified you should have already known importing guns is a no go

Get AV'd and either go through the clasifieds, or through one of the retailers. if you order a gun from a foreign site, including an american site, it has about a 99.9% chance of getting stopped by customs.

It's funny, when something that's illegal to import gets seized they seem to be referring to it as being "stolen" by the crown or postal service.

They`re the devil for me, Especially since I`m on their website all day long browsing to spend more money I dont have lol. I Ordered a KJW M9 Full Metal Through a guy, and couldnt be more Happier.

Though Everyone else here is right man, gotta get AV`d then you`ll get them off your back. I didnt put one single post on here until I went to get AV`d....

Once I did, There were ZERO ppl reminding me to get AV`d. Your best Piece of Advice is to just stop posting asking questions ESPECIALLY about importing guns. You`ll get flamed hardcore, and for the most part....you`ll deserve it for not reading FAQ`s.

Anyways Goodluck With Ehobby...They`re hit and miss for consistency from what I hear, but i`d give em a 5/5 since I have no issues with them other than, THEY HAVE SO MUCH FREAKING STUFF I WANT NAO!!!! 1337 H4X!

I don't know how they're misleading by saying that. They're 100% correct. If you agree to assume all risks for importing on your own, then they'll ship it to you. You paid them, they did their part by shipping and giving you fair warning that it will most likely be seized by customs. There are some foreign retailers who won't even grant you that. They'll just ship to you without warning. Once they have your money, they don't care. They did their part. It's up to the importer to know their own laws and know whether something can be imported or not.

I'm sure a small percentage do get through, since customs can't open every package they receive. But specific retailers like eHobby are flagged, so pretty much anything that comes from them gets examined by customs, meaning that you can pretty much kiss your money goodbye.

So its in your best interest to simply follow the advice of the others who have replied. Wait for your AV status to kick in and buy in Canada. Personally, I'd rather pay $750 for a gun in Canada and actually receive my item than piss $450 out the window and have nothing to show for it.
