Help finding a spring for L96

My friend just bought a WELL Warrior L96 from buyairsoft. (P.O.S. gun http://www.airsoftcanada.com/images/...n_banghead.gif)

I stripped the gun and concluded that he needs an array of new parts... including a new spring... (now don't start flaming because I'll need new sears etc., because... I know)

Finding the right spring has been a pain in the arse...

I did a bit of research and it appears that aps2 springs are the springs for the L96.

I read some stuff about how none of the aps2 springs actually fit in the clone WELL Warrior L97, but they do fit the real, Marushin L96 version.

Can someone hook me up with a spring that will fit the WELL Warrior l96 please?

Thanks,
Eldin

Keep it in Canada, will be cheaper and you will get it to your door in less than a week.
Check out this page for EVERYTHING you need for your MARUZEN CLONE Type96. Just remeber anything a maruzen Type 96 uses for upgrades, you can use.

Any spring under 130% (PSS2 springs) will fit a stock clone.
Starting at 130% (including it), you need a larger spring guide to prevent the spring from bending and jamming. That is because to make a harder spring they had to make larger coils...

If you have a Well L96, best thing to do in order is to upgrade the piston and spring guide. Leave the stock spring in there unless it is broken in half. They are known to have lighter pull than an equivalent FPS spring (nicknamed the "magic" springs).

Modify L96 piston + Laylax piston head or Prometheus piston head. The one for APS2 works in this. You NEED to install a piston head (I have seen it before).

Then change the spring guide for a metal one. The Laylax one has both 7mm and 9mm rod so you can use any spring with it.

You should then have a reliable cylinder.

Next is to change the barrel/hop-up group. The top part is a PDI hop-up chamber + an M14 500mm tightbore. 6.03 at minimum. Tighter creates problems and jamming without any upsides. Get a Prometheus purple rubber for it (AEG one).

They you should have a decent rifle. All that is left for reliability is the trigger. Do not install better sears in that. Not worth it. Just get a zero trigger from Laylax or V-Trigger from PDI. 200$ but it makes the difference.

Thanks for the info, yea I was planning to get a zero trigger for his gun, as I had purchased a pss10 zero trigger for my vsr-10 and am highly impressed...

Should he be getting a pss2 zero trigger (http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...ck_Trigger.htm) or a pss96 zero trigger? (http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...for_Type96.htm)

I can't find any pss96 zero triggers in stock anywhere...

And for the bucking, I can't find what your talking about... Can any aeg bucking be used?

Thanks

APS2 trigger is different from the L96 trigger, and therefore will not fit. So take the PSS96 for an L96.
