C4 Gasmask
 

I got myself a real issue Canadian C4 Gasmask for a full face mask and protection when playing CQB Games. i have a filter and i have a bag and decontamination powder (realism) but i can't figure out how the drink tube works. i looked for operation instructions but couldn't find any, a freind of mine said they just taught him how to use it and now that he converted to the navy over 25 years ago he also for gets how to use it. The tube seems to be blocked off but it's almost as if the tube ending could be pulled open and exposed. Picture to follow (20mins)

Plug that shit into the lid of the issued canteen, end of story,, no, you aint gonna be using it on waterbottles, gatorade, kool aid or purple/orange drank. Bottles of beer and other alcohol is out of the question as is rum and coke mixes sadly. Issued canteen, thats it.

OH but of course, just saying that the straw only works with the canteen.

I admit to nothing by the way, you can't prove some of the canteens on SQ that got Moldy (mine included) got that way from misuse! :P

Buddy of mine had beer in his hydrapack and forgot about it for 3 weeks.... yep.... yeast infection

Plug your straw in it, hold the canteen upside down at about eye level and start sucking on the straw...

Boy, I wonder how long you'll last wearing it while playing CQB for a whole day... these things are torture devices when you're running around mad...

Pissed off instructors during NBC training on basic make SURE it's a torture device :( That had to be the most PT intensive part of my basic lol

get a collapsible canteen, you'll be able to squeeze it and and force more water down the straw...

Yeah well, I heard it many times so I may as well pass it on "Nothing's gonna be easy under an NBC attack, let's just say the best call is to shit yourself and sip the damn straw, in the meantime, hope you'll never have to"

Did anybody else find MOPP4 to be the most sleep-inducing state of readiness?

This reminds me, I should probably make sure my mask is still clean.

Yeah .... I wanted to fall asleep so bad whenever I was in MOPP4
