Cybergun makes crap and Inokatsu makes really good stuff.... How is this going to work out?

You know when people tell you to read more and post less they don't just say that to increase their post count. Every time you make a post theres always at least one wrong fact or another, and people like you who spread misinformation is one of the problems plaguing airsoft these days.

Cybergun does not make guns. They rebrand them and add trademarks.

There's no mention of this on either Inokatsu nor Cybergun's websites. Considering the mundane little tidbits Cybergun posts in their company news section, you'd think they'd make a big deal out of something major like buying Inokatsu.

I still think it's just an agreement. These guys are in the distribution business.

I don't think the Cybergun / Inokatsu association is that new. I have an Inokatsu M4 SOPMOD Super that I've had for a few months now, and the box has Cybergun logo on it with the "trademarks officially licensed by Cybergun" text. The gun has been advertised from the start as being officially licensed, and to the best of my knowledge, Cybergun are the only company that have a license agreement with Colt. I don't know how this is cropping up as "news" in the last couple of days.

Inokatsu are already expensive... I'm wondering if Cybergun will make them even more expansive, or maybe they'll produce more with their distribution network and bring costs (slightly) down? I'd tend to believe in the first option, though.

Wow Cybergun is publicly traded. Everyone on ASC should chip in to form the ASC Group and we could buy a controlling interest in Cybergun SA and force them to make Canadian-conforming versions of all the good guns on their line.

Although in theory that sounds good things like Shareholder rights plans and other common "poison pill" programs would prevent a hostile takeover such as that from working. It would be a very difficult battle.


But if we actually wanted to do this it could be done. But it would take quiet a bit of money.

Clearly the ASC Group needs to set itself up to be a defining force in the development of legal airsoft in Canada and insure a quasi-monopoly on gun sales via the Canadian-specific line of Cybergun products. It would additionally carry out PR to favorably promote the sport and establish government lobby groups to advance our goals.

We'd need an initial 1000 users who'd be willing to buy in a $1000 stake, thereby establishing a $1M fund to set up a corporation which would then itself become publicly traded; we can then use the money generated by the IPO to initiate the hostile takeover of Cybergun SA.






And no, I jest. That kinda shit is what caused the .com bubble burst at the start of the decade.
