KSC MP7 Taiwan GBB over 400FPS?

Hi everyone, I received my Mad Bull Portable Chronograph today and I tested the FPS for both my KSC USP Compact S7 Taiwan & KSC MP7 Taiwan. The setting on the chrono was on option 1 which is for FPS measurements. The gas I was using was propane.

The USP Compact shot from 280-320FPS, which seem normal. Now the KSC MP7, shot at least 400 FPS on a 40-round mag fully charged with gas. I reloaded BBs into the same mag without filling it with gas, because there was still a lot more. It continued to shoot 400-500FPS, but when the mag was low on gas, it steadily shot below 400 FPS until the mag was emptied of gas.

There was a thunder storm today here in Toronto, so I opened the window to let the cold air in, because I had thought it was a temperature issue, but it still continued to shoot hot, very hot. Then I tried shooting it in the basement, because it was also cool down there, but it still shot 400-500FPS.

Has anyone ever fielded or chrono'd a KSC MP7 Taiwan? If so, what were the FPS results? I'm not sure if it's the gun or the chrono, because my friend was testing his TM MP5 on the same chrono and the shots weren't very stable, like the FPS would jump and drop by a lot. His ICS L85, which was set at the lowest setting shot over 400FPS. His highest setting, shot even higher. He also tested his TM Hi-cap, it shot 280-320FPS like my USP Compact as well.

If anyone has any idea what the problem is, please help. Thank you in advance.

It could be reading the gas cloud of the shot. Also, turn your hopup on half way and try again.

My hopup is on max, so I will try lowering it later when I go to my friend's place again. Also, how far should I shoot from the chrono external barrel adapter?

KSC Taiwan is made to shoot over 400 fps. the KWA USA version shoots 350-380.

YouTube- RA TECH KSC MP7 GBB Taiwan version review skip to around 2:20 to see the chrono

Thanks andrew for the video. I have found that RA Tech has got an NPAS kit for the KSC MP7, so I'll probably get that and install it so I can control the FPS.

No problem and good luck. I heard those things were a pain to install.

Taiwan version has the high flow rocketvalve that's absent from the other version. They tend to be the hottest shooting mp7. ....

And here I thought it was weak so I bought the Shooters Design valve. But seeing how hot it shoots, I didn't perform the upgrade yet. haha

it will probably up the FPS like 450 if you install that, but i dont think you can adjust the shooters design valve. can you install the ksc valve into the kwa mp7s?

Yeah you can, KSC and KWA are the same, the first is just Japan version, the second one is Taiwan.

I gotta get myself one soon. I've been hearing from everyone that KSC taiwan is the best one and more durable. I even contacted uncompany, airsoftglobal and RA-TECH, all of them recommended me KSC mp7 taiwan version over KWA mp7 umarex.
