Does anyone know the best/cheapest place to find this gun?

This thread helped me a lot! Thanks! I especially like the humour and easy readability :)

fleuryfighter May 12th, 2010 16:16

classifieds get aved

Omnivorous May 12th, 2010 16:33

I am in the process of it. I just found someone else who is selling this gun used and I wanted to compare prices before this offer expires in two days. I can't seem to find this gun on any websites and I think there is a new version of it. So I just want to know what it would cost new and used.

The War Store claims this gun and all JG's have extremely poor chargers and batteries. http://www.thewarstore.org/airsoft/a...s/jg-jing-gong

Truth?

I wish I had known of this earlier, because I made a few dumb purchases earlier, and cannot return them :(

Exceptionally good for the young 'up and coming' Airsoft players like myself

hey, I'm back again.
and this time, i brought my spell check.

I've been ordering parts and pieces from ehobby Asia, and have heard whispers that they will ship you their guns using a 'strip and send' feature.
I've asked and believe it or not, but it's true. they'll charge you an extra 30 dollars to use this feature and they will ship it in parts that you assemble at a your convenience.

any of you done this?

thank you.

Strelok July 25th, 2010 15:50

It won't get your gun across the border.

Disassembled or not. Its still a replica firearm. Therefor the customs will take it.

You can get lucky, and they'll just take the restricted part. But chances are they'll consfiscate the whole assembly. if this was a working option, I dont think the system we have now would be in place, now would it?

You're age verified. Make use of it.

deadbolt July 25th, 2010 15:54

oh don't get me wrong, I've used AV options.
and you are right. i do not argue that.

but take a look at all the guys with these black all metal guns, they have broken the law, they have defied all the border policies. they must have done something right.

granted you all live on the east coast, near states where they have light replica gun policies, but in Washington on the west coast, their gun laws are worse than Canada as a whole.

no real harm will come of me at least trying. they have some 100 dollar guns that i think i may just try to import..
frankly the inflation of the AV area really annoys me.

stephanieeee February 1st, 2011 20:45

:) thank ya for thinking of us noobs. super helpful.

The Captain February 4th, 2011 02:08

hey guys, i know im not age verified but ive PM'd the rep in my area to get the wheels in motion. Anyways i just have a quick question, not sure if anybody will answer it simply because im not age verified, but im not sure which gun to get at the moment, i am a noob(im looking forward to the fun making lol), but which gun would be the better choice?...
-G&G GR16 M4 Carbine Blowback gun
OR
-SRC M16A3(Gen 3)

Please let me know which would be the better choice and why, thanks!(i cant find any comparisons online)

TokyoSeven February 4th, 2011 02:44

There are lots of reviews that currently exist on this website on both brands that you've listed. Its obvious that you would like an AR but truth be told for the amount of money you are most likely going to spend on either of those brand new, you will most likely be able to purchase something better. So for the time being I would recommend holding off on making a purchase until your verification has come through, once that has been accomplished you should be able to find something a little higher up the quality ladder for about the same price.

The Captain February 5th, 2011 03:17

hey, i noticed that you're AC Staff, and I was wondering how long it generally takes for a rep to get back to someone, I e-mailed a local rep to get age verified about a week or so ago, and still haven't heard from him, I'm not sure what to do at the moment.. If you could please let me know how to go about with this whole shamble, thanks.

TokyoSeven February 5th, 2011 04:38

Sometimes get emails get lost in spam filters.

Try private messaging some of the other verifiers in your area. There should be lots of options for the Toronto area.

those a bearing inside the gearboxes that allow for smoother operation. the actual function of said bearings would need to be explain by a gun doc which i am not. I am sure there is a thread around here somewhere about it.
use the search button and see if you can find a thread. or theres always google.

Not entirely sure if this is the right thread to ask in, But I'm looking for a replica/dummy or used AN/PVS Nvg Battery case for my helmet.. Any one know where to get a hold of one, I don't really want to have to buy a set of "GPNVG18s" to get one.

I want to lower the ROF on my airsoft gun(Meaning, I want it to shoot 500RPM)
Any suggestions on what to do?

What gun? What specs? Stock? Upgrades?

With as little information you provided, to lower you ROF you can:

- install a MOSFET
- use a heavier spring
- use a lower voltage battery
- swap out the motor for a slower one (higher torque vs speed)
- swap gears

gherea November 22nd, 2013 20:48

A high grade air soft gun will usually have a higher FPS than a lower quality clone but this doesn't always apply.

FPS also increases and decreases with what weight of BB you use. Examples are as follow:

380 FPS with .12 Gram BB’s
350 FPS with .20 Gram BB’s
335 FPS with .23 Gram BB’s
320 FPS with .25 Gram BB’s
315 FPS with .28 Gram BB’s
300 FPS with .30 Gram BB’s

How does lowering FPS lower ROF?

Is importing a replica from HK still a problem on the border/customs?

Sorry for maybe a stupid question, but i'm not familiar with canadian airsoft laws, and the thread about importing is couple yrs old. Thanks!

Shopping locally helps small business and the Canadian market. That said, as long as the seller provides documentation that the gun shoots between 366-500FPS it should clear customs fine.

tazkforcealpha April 29th, 2014 13:43

Thanks to both of you.

Looking to buy a gear box for my JG g36. Right now it houses a V3. I would like to have separate outdoor (~450fps) & indoor (<350fps; current) gear boxes for when I switch from arena to field.
I am wondering what are some of the issues I should be concerned with when getting a more powerful/efficient gearbox?

1. Stay with V3?
2. Will it fit my G36? (I probably will need one from a g36)
3. Getting the same gear box & upgrading internals (spring, piston, gears etc)
4. Upgrading post-gearbox parts? (Tight bore)
5. Upgrading battery WITH gearbox?
(Stock = 8.4, can I go to 9.6?)

Thanks!

lurkingknight August 25th, 2014 12:05

g36s only use v3 gearboxes. so yes, you will stay with v3.

A gear box is only as good as its builder. You can spend 160$ for a drop in and it can and will still blow up. A good tech can set it up for you to mitigate the odds it will blow up.

With the cost of the JG g36... just buy a second one and tune it to indoor spec and tune the other to outdoor spec.

There's no point in swapping gearboxes every time you switch play. You're going to strip the screw holes where they mount into the lower.

If you're dead set on getting a 2nd gearbox.

if you get any standard v3 you will need a g36 nozzle, the g36 safety, selector plate and motor cage. 95% of the drop ins are set up for AKs. If you do a 2nd gearbox, it's easier just to put together a whole assembled lower to swap in so there's not as much screwing/unscrewing involved. The motor cages on g36s are shiet.

For the cost of finding those and shipping them, you will be at half the cost of a new jg g36. After building up one or the other gearbox to do field or cqb, you'll be at the same cost of a 2nd gun.

Very good info. Didn't realize they would be that expensive. While I do have much technical experience, it might be better to save up for a second gun for outdoors.

I just thought of the 2nd gear box as I got confirmation that my group will be able to use an abandoned farm near Oakbank as an airsoft field. Plans to build are coming :) hopefully our two carpenters and other engineers can come up with something really fun that will last.

I saw the OP recommend JT thermal goggles for no fog. I hate fog. Its my biggest enemy in this sport. Does anyone know any ballistic glasses or have other goggle recommendations of products that WILL NEVER FOG ONE BIT? Thank you!

At the start of last season our local shop had a set of Skeleton Arms "Fan goggles", these have 2 small fans which on either of the two settings does pull out the humidity from behind the goggle. Downside is the noise, it distracts you from the field and masks little field noise which can be a bad thing..

This year I will be on the search for a light weight safety glass with protective foam that WILL breathe. I am asking too much aswell.

IF I could find a set of these ESS I would be hella tempted.

Let us know what you find!

***WHILE IM HERE***

Does any one have experience with the G&P WOC M4 GBBR? Interested in these but hard to find info on compatability of mags, user issues and reliability.
