Future uncertain for paintball business (Flag Raiders)

My first airsoft game was at the Flag Raiders field which is located just outside off Cambridge, Ontario. It will be a sad day if this location closes.

They have had 4 years to find new digs.

Hard to find a good place these days. Either you pay a fortune and get crap like this from your neighbors, or move out to the boondocs and have to dish out huge capital on a wicked infrastructure to get folks to drive out to the middle of nowhere.

Just when FR was finished with all their new fancy and costly renovations too...

Bloody legal nonsense.

Son of a bitch...

If they're so worried about the swamplands being poluted...

Shouldn't some one bring up the fact that paintballs are made out of a dish-soap like corn syrup and BB's are biodegradable?

They will say proove it. Research will be done. Money will be spent etc etc.

Then you still have the problem of disturbing people who live nearby.

:( I'm hoping for my first ever game to be at Flag raiders :(.. But hey, bright side, come to London! :D

This really sucks :(

I wonder if there's anything we can do??..I've never played there and maybe never will but I'm sure I've played with people from that area at other locations, just hate to see this happen. This will probably hurt the sport in Ontario over the long term..If people don't have a place to go locally then why join the sport?. Why buy the products for the sport?. This place employs roughly 60 people, there's 60 people outta work. Damn this is just wrong. Maybe a petition??. Without livin locally though would my name even count. Damn, I feel for my airsoft brother's and sister's in Cambridge.

don't they realize that if kids have nowhere to use their painball guns there not just going to put them away, they'll start shooting at cars and stuff. iv definitely seen it done here in Toronto.

Research has already been done. Money has already been spent. Paintball has been around for a while and the material data would not be difficult to find. The issues here are that not only does it look like the laws are against them, but the neighbours don't seem to be fond of their presence either. With both of these factors not in their favour, they will face quite the challenge to remain where they are now.

Hmm yeah everyone knows that. But they can't simply go on the internet and say 'lulz paintball safe for environment!'. They will have to pay money to prove it is safe (i.e: get the information from a respected source like a research center that did x research and have x paper about it. That takes time + money). You guys really need to stop dissecting everything...
