New site - up again and better than ever.

gone on Xmas holidays?... doesn't want to upset his clients with backlog and mixed orders in the holiday rush?

Or... do we all start getting umbrellas again?

I was thinking holiday type stuff.. but at the same time I was also thinking it might be raining men!

I don't know about the site being taken down, but he posted on a local message board that he was going to be closed dec 22 to jan 2.

Maybe his site messed up and he figured it'd be easier to wait for the new site than to try and fix the old one or something.

wth? What about those planning to buy for Christmas. Closing for a month to do a site redesign is long. Also he could have the site designed in parallel to the one he has now.

If it *just* happened, what about waiting a few hours (or better yet, a few days) before panicking? :P

This is my first dealing with Mark and I don't understand where the freaking out comes from, I am sure he gets mobbed by emails but mine were answered with-in 24 hours and he was great... as I am very picky

If the sky was falling, again, he'd probably say something to the effect. This looks to be an annoyingly timed site work, as I was planning on making a purchase this week. I hope he's accepting email orders, I can't go until January without a sidearm.

I won't speculate. Why someone would close down in the 3+ weeks before Xmas (when we buy ourselves presents...) is curious timing though. Not that we need to panic, but when it's the one online catalog we have, it ranks in my books as "sucks".
