I wonder how long your boxmag will last, my fragged itself within the first 1000rnds in its first game. Hopup rubber is crap, STAR motors are known to die quick, the wiring is really small so replacing it with some thicker stuff will get you a better ROF. Swap out the mini connector ASAP, firing full auto for too long will melt it, literally. |
Nice gun. That looks like it's going to kick some ass.
thanks lutnit!!! not sure about the mag now but may just go buy a spear one later and also for the motor and wiring i think i will get it all upgrade before get her in to a game!!
damn didnt know its polycarb, looks great though....should spray some ppl
now justin!!!! i need your help with upgrade now!!! dud where are you!!!!!!!!! ^_^
I want one now :(
enough battery space? looks like the whole stock from a bit behind the grip to the end is all empty.
Yeah I don't think either of us has room for that thing Karnage.
it's sure heavy !! i think i need a lot work out this winter before next summer i take her out to a game!!!
Seems like half of the Ottawa boys are support gunners now.. good for BB sales haha
i guess good news for TT haha
lutnit which kind upgrade spring should i buy for this mk43? anykind m120 works? thanks man
So thats where the money I gave you for the HIcapa went to hahaha good choice I must say, you now have a certified Human Lawn Mower
Modify M120 spring is like a Prometheus M135
Madbull M120 spriing is like a Prometheus M130 I still like to stick to Prometheus but they do shoot lower than other brands for the same ratings. I find Prom are far more consistent though (smaller fps range, say 355-365 instead of 350-370fps.) The gears are generic XYT (XYM?) Chinese ones, not the greatest but I just had an axle snap off of "www.Gear.net.cn" spur gears in my CYMA AKS-74U. It didn't strip, the axle actually snapped off, never seen that before. Also that is what is stamped on the back of the gears, a web address. For gears TM is more than good enough, SystemA and all those expensive ones are overrated. Only time I use expensive gears like that is for high speed or torque up rigs. I have run almost 700fps upgrades in my M14 with stock TM gears, no problems (never gamed it at that level.) I would install: -AK type airseal nozzle (Modify or Prometheus) -Guarder clear type hopup rubber -TM EG 700 or ideally 1000 motor (while you're at the rest, might as well) Also I don't know if they are bearings or bushings but I would get rid of any bearings on the gears. I have had bearing bushings blow out in two guns recently, one was shooting ~320fps and the other ~400fps. Both times they where top quality SystemA bearings (one was in a SystemA drop in turbo mechbox for frieks sake.) The gears, piston, and all the other bits I would leave alone until something goes wrong. If the gun works really well as is, don't touch anything, just swap the spring. If a Prometheus M120 or Modify M110 give you almost 400fps or at least 370fps, I would leave the gun as is until something goes wrong. As for Ottawa having so many support gunners like Roughneck said, its just a phase. I believe Winnipeg had a phase like this as I remember Thundercactus talking about showing up to games and half or a little more than half the players had support guns. As for me I may be selling my Mk.43 for financial reasons. I have extended myself too far and its one of the most logical guns to liquidate. Stick with dual ICS M4's, OpFor AKS-74U, and M14 for DM purposes. |
That's one sweet mothafucka!
thanks lutnit!!!thanks!!!

I would like to buy this gun too, but I dont really have the money to fund a new TM motor, can someone reccomend minimal upgrades that'll lengthen the guns life rather than make it more powerful?
And Im not living in Canada right now, so please dont ask me for age verification. Im a member of airsoftturk.com and I frequently try to visit your lovely forums, but thats about all the verification I can give you. |
Nice piece. Few of our local players had the Star M249's. Very light, got the job done. One thing I know they had problems with were the box mags. After filling, or turning the gun, BB's would sneak over to the drive system for the mag and would stop it's operation, resulting in dry-firing. Not sure if this applies to the MK43 or not, but just a heads up to keep the "gun-breakdown demons" from ruining your game day. Was a simple fix, but a pain in the ass and probably not recommended during play.
very nice piece! just dont point it at your TV ;) :p
