S.H.I.E.L.D. February 1st, 2007 15:40

Very well done Testtube. And who gives a damn about the cadpat, it still looked good.

Well Done!

Nice Drama, good tension

Looking forward to seeing it!

Greylocks February 1st, 2007 18:57

I had the pleasure of being there when the shoot was done, and offering a bit of assistance off camera. Just seeing the setup was impressive. The guys doing the assault had their timing down so perfectly it was incredible.

I know the cameramen were shocked.

testtube February 1st, 2007 20:36

Theater here in ottawa for a film festival I think.

conrad13 February 2nd, 2007 01:33

That was really well done. I'd like to see the short movie for it.

philstructo February 2nd, 2007 01:47

I Like

SHaKaL February 2nd, 2007 01:54

Liked it to, except, the guy playing the kidnapper is overacting a little bit

BBS February 2nd, 2007 02:41

CDN_Stalker February 2nd, 2007 14:29

Hehe, I got to lie in donkey crap for a good hour that day, in my ghillie. Almost like playing airsoft.......... except for the donkey part. And I didn't get to shoot anyone.

testtube February 2nd, 2007 14:53

We have a good contact in the local film industry here in ottawa.

And about to embark on another project for a friend of his for a film school project.

foxtail February 2nd, 2007 16:19

There is lots more to come. team O.O.P.S. Foxtail, Testtube, Drach and Beast will be working with these guys alot in the future. I have already been involved in an other one and doing the story board for the next.

The director is planning a 50+ man fire fight. the graphic guys are real good as well. Can do all sorts of stuff with out anything being there.

underground February 7th, 2007 12:11

very professionally done :) can't wait to see more!

Mr Jon February 7th, 2007 12:23

Looking awesome man... though if this is being entered to a major film festival I would suggest not using a song from the Bourne Supremacy soundtrack lol.

testtube February 7th, 2007 12:42

I think it has been changed.

not sure just plying the part, this not my movie.

testtube February 7th, 2007 13:40

Me too been a while in production.

CDN_Stalker February 7th, 2007 13:47

Been waiting forever to see that "thing" rise out of the donkey shit again, but on a bigger screen. Were they donkey's or mules? I think donkeys because they were small. Anyways...........

It's what's called a temp track or temp score. It's only put in by the director as a guideline during editing to give the impression of what the scene should feel like with regards to mood, pacing, etc. It's also used as a guideline by the composer who will later go in and write an original piece to replace it that "should" emote similar feelings and atmosphere of the temp track.

Have any of the other guys from the shoot heard from Kolin and what the hell is taking him so long getting Security Risk finished? I've seen what I thought was the final edit about a year ago, but haven't heard anything since. Maybe I ought to give him a call and see what the deal is?

CDN_Stalker January 19th, 2009 19:36

Maybe you should I haven't heard jack about anythign regarding this project, although I have watched the short film a dozen times.................. mostly my part though. Lol

testtube January 20th, 2009 07:24

Well I will be getting something soo Adrian said he would . also they worked on another full feature film called Donkey wich is almost done. some of the movie was filmed @ the Mill in Beauharnois.

CDN_Stalker January 20th, 2009 10:35

Is it just me or is the word 'donkey' becoming a recurring theme here?

testtube January 20th, 2009 11:40

lol but it's true the movie is called Donkey and again our airsoft guns were used in the movie.

Yeah, Adrian screened Donkey a while back for us... looks great. I'm going to be doing some blood effects for a scene in that as soon as Adrian gets the last few cues he's working on finished.

We shot another short this summer called Chance at the same Mill ... looks pretty slick as well. If I can find the pics I'll post some for you to check out.

I was under the impression Adrian was pretty much done with SR and Kolin. I'll ask him now.. hang on.

Okay... apparently everything is done and ready to go to print... cut and edited, scored, DVD sleeve designed... all that jazz. Sounds like Kolin is just sitting on his ass and not doing anything about it... it's out of Adrians hands which is what I thought. Knowing Kolin and the way he works (and I do after being on several shoots now - 2 of which where he was supposed to be "in charge", plus his short lived stint at the animation studio), I think you'll all be lucky if you see anything by Fall 2010... typical.

I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else. I think Kolin might be on my FB list. If he is... I'll send him an ear full and see if I get any reaction. The least he could do is print up some copies for those of us that were kind enough to donate our time for the shoot.

I'll get back to you.

Nik12 June 19th, 2009 14:52

Seems like the main character of Donkey (leather jacket dude) is trying pretty hard to pull off his best Jason Statham impression.

Doombringer July 3rd, 2009 20:20

Where can I see those movies ? They look interesting...

youonlywish July 3rd, 2009 21:33

Whoa - the bad guy is actually believeable!

caker_chris October 3rd, 2009 12:55
