K3vX August 30th, 2013 14:25

My, hello there. Welcome to AirsoftCanada. Want a cookie?

Kungpow August 30th, 2013 14:30

Why would you need to upgrade? Its not seeing any field action anyway not to mention that the gun stock is already up to skirmishing standards.

KJWm4 August 30th, 2013 15:40

These guns are cheep to make bad ass.
So why not get some info on what internals to make thing thing shoot like...
Holy fuck this thing is a air soft gun. !!!

KJWm4 August 30th, 2013 15:43

Do you want a cookie ?

Cobrajr122 August 30th, 2013 17:13

A full basic package for the KJW will run you a bit over $200.

Why spend that amount of money on improving the performance of a gun that will never preform... That's like buying a supercharger for a car you will never drive, why.

audi_bhoy August 30th, 2013 18:45

Excuse me ? KJW M4 only needs a fps reducer (Cradle) and it is good to go, unlike those WE that you need to change almost everything except the buffer tube only to make it last through one game.

KJWm4 August 30th, 2013 18:52

Yeah boys
I'm looking for more fps and tight grouping at least 200-300feet

KJWm4 August 30th, 2013 18:58

Money isn't an issue.
I want this m4 to be like that i cant believe it butter commercial
But instead
I can't believe that's a gbbr air soft gun !!

EchoFourTwelve August 30th, 2013 19:04

You still haven't answered the big question here... Why would you need upgrades for a gun that will never be fielded?

Reaver_RRTS August 30th, 2013 19:19

Sorry, but this sounds like it's just some kid who got a hold of an airsoft gun through his/her parents... I agree with the above. WHY are you trying to upgrade an airsoft gun to shoot at ranges of 200 to 300 feet and NEVER take it to a field? Plus the way you are describing it makes it sound very childish and makes me question what motive you have to upgrade it.... If i bought an airsoft gun for back yard plinking, I wouldn't bother putting more money into it...

Myth:
http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/image...-confirmed.jpg

Also, It does matter because there's no reason in pouring in hunnids into a gun to not have it fielded. as others have said its pretty pointless.

Reaver_RRTS August 30th, 2013 20:17

Some maturity on your part would be beneficial.

dansshewolf August 30th, 2013 20:27

KJWM4 no matter what your age is u just proved your maturity level its people like u that give this sport a bad name by your attitude ..... people r askin for the welfare of the sport so that immature people dont wreck it for everyone learn to treat others with RESPECT.......

Cobrajr122 August 30th, 2013 20:36

Whats the point of having it shoot that far accuratly if its never going to be shot at other people. If you want to plink, just get real guns.

Its like you want to use this for crime or pulling pranks or something else that is outside of responsible use.

KJWm4 August 30th, 2013 23:01

Ok I'm sorry for the things I have said it was very immature of me and I just got worked up when he said it is probably just some kid. once again I apologize for my rudeness.!

Truth is I'm just getting into this sport this is my first gbbr and am looking to go to the air soft event in Edmonton in September and I'm the type of person that has to have the best of the best in their guns. For instance you veteran air softers out there haven't done some sort of internal up grade to you guns to performe better ?
That's all I'm asking is for some advise from you veteran air softers ?

Once again I truly apologize for my actions and choice of words!..

Cobrajr122 August 30th, 2013 23:09

so this IS going to be fielded... why would you say it will never be fielded if you wanted to go to an airsoft game...

What you want is not super high FPS either, it will need to be within field regulations. High FPS =/= better performance.

This is what you will want;

Go to this site: http://www.cradleairsoft.com/

V1+ Bolt Carrier Group
Polybelt
Top Dead Center (TDC) Modification (This will have to be done in Canada, if you can find anybody)
and to make life a bit easier, the Speed Loader Adapter is nice to have too.

You will also want to get a new tight boar inner barrel and hopup rubber.

Honestly, IMO and from my personal experience, the 'best of the best' in terms of performance is not to be had with GBBR platforms, they are just not consistent enough.

Kungpow August 30th, 2013 23:37

Isn't there a npas kit for the Kjw M4? Would it be better than the cradle airsoft part?

Cobrajr122 August 30th, 2013 23:42

the Npas kit for the KJW is bad, very bad. For whatever reason it has a very thin section on the screw that breaks with the first mag almost every time. I went through 2 before going to cradle.

KJWm4 August 30th, 2013 23:43

Thx for the info cobra122jr
What tight bore barel would you recommend ?
And also to ditch the v2 b

KJWm4 August 30th, 2013 23:44

Blot carrier ?
What's the diffrence ? Is it reliability ?

KJWm4 August 30th, 2013 23:49

Has any one tried to to the TDC mod them selves ?

Is RA-tech the only ones that sell a hop up rubber?
Any one have any experience with there tight bore barrels?

audi_bhoy August 31st, 2013 01:19

I've done the TDC mod myself, but you have to know I went to school in mechanical engineering and I'm quite used to precision working. Stock KJW Hop-up rubber had better succes for me, along with the 363mm 6.01mm inner barrel (RA-Tech). It's even more accurate than the madbull 509mm 6.01mm I modified to fit KJW M4, and that is just sitting on my shelf.

If you plan on fielding it, be aware, like stated earlier, that there is a FPS limit that you need to stick by, otherwise you'll be kicked / banned.

KJWm4 August 31st, 2013 07:23

Ok so...
Cradle soft v1+ bolt carrier
Ra-teck or the kjw hop up rubber
And the RA-tech 6.01mm inner tight barrel
Are a must haves then?

KJWm4 August 31st, 2013 07:24

Hey Audi boys
Would you know if there are any shops in Calgary or surrounding areas that would be ar go perform the TDC mod?

TANNER August 31st, 2013 08:52

A little off topic but it's important to note:

Best upgrade you can do is to the player not the gun. Go to as many games as possible, watch and learn from other players and gain experience.

With a GBBR you are going to get outgunned by everyone who is running an AEG with 120+ round midcaps anyway.

KJWm4 August 31st, 2013 10:46

That's why I'm looking for more accuracy.
One shot one kill

TANNER August 31st, 2013 10:58

In the real world yes. But we are not firing bullets here. It may take 3/4 rounds to penetrate the foliage and have them feel the hit.

If your aim is accuracy an AEG will also have the advantage in ragards to consistency.

BUT. GBBR are more fun. But you will not see nearly as many players fielding them.

I dont want to get too off topic so I will leave it at that.

Reaver_RRTS August 31st, 2013 11:00

You'll only really achieve that by practice, practice and more practice, knowing your effective range of your rifle, being WITHIN that range, aiming accurately (which means correctly tuned rifle) and by being good enough to get close to the other team without being shot first. Any one can get a 'one shot one TAG' with anything hell a spring powered pistol could do that. It's the player that needs to be good, not the gun.

KJWm4 August 31st, 2013 12:25

Right on guys.
So just gotta get out there and have some fun and raise some hell!!!
But having an up graded tight bore barel rubber hop up and the cradle upgraded V1+ bolt carrier are still a must ?!!

Reaver_RRTS August 31st, 2013 12:32

As said before, upgrades are usually done AFTER you use the rifle for a while. Don't just replace everything just because you think it'll make it some UBER-PWNGE weapon - it won't. it MAY increase performance, but the first thing you should be doing is using it stock, seeing how it performs, checking its FPS how consistent it is, etc etc. Not to mention, as a GBBR, you need to continuously maintain the magazines with silicon oil after every other mag or so. Even if you get a bunch of upgrades in the gun, you'll easily be eliminated by players who have years of experience behind them over a guy with an upgraded gun. THAT is the biggest difference. Upgrades are nice, but do it after you get some experience. What if you play a game and find the gun breaks, or you don't like it at all? Then you would have wasted all that time and money on new shit for nothing.

Forever_kaos August 31st, 2013 12:40

The only "must" in airsoft is have fun, be respectful and carry honour.

Play first, upgrade yourself, then upgrade the gun. Don't fix what isn't broken.

audi_bhoy August 31st, 2013 20:52

The only required thing so it can be fieldable, is the cradle velocity reducer. These guns are too hot for our field limits so they need to be ajusted. Others are just like mags instead of rims on a car. I don't know for the machine shops, I'm far away from where you are :P

KJWm4 August 31st, 2013 22:52

Well thats shity
Mmmmm

Random Fire September 2nd, 2013 00:31

I own and operate three - 1 is stock, 1 has the reducer and 1 has been modified with a DMR setup so it has a longer barrel and TDC setup. All 3 will shoot out to 100 yards with varying accuracy depending on the shooters skills. Not one has had an issue (yet **knock on wood**) but like all GBB you have to keep them maintained.

Random Fire September 2nd, 2013 00:42

By the way, get verified it helps both you and the airsoft community. And as for those who give it (the attitude and childish behaviors) it doesn't show a good face to the new people who want to become new members. We are adults last time I looked and if you want to keep this community strong and prosperous, you should be going out of your way to be as nice as you can to anyone who asks a question about your sport. In other words treat and talk to people like they were your grand parents, I assume you at least respect them, if not... you would be the first person I would vote to have removed from our sport because you do not further it you hinder it.

KJWm4 September 2nd, 2013 07:55

How would I get verifiyed ?

Reaver_RRTS September 2nd, 2013 18:08

http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=74996

Contact the nearest age verifier in your area and set up a mutual time to meet up. Age verification processes require face to face meetings with valid ID (birth certificate/driver's license etc) You have to be 18+ to be age verified, if you are under, you have to wait until your 18th birthday. Just ASC regulations.
