Most Sci-Fi Airsoft Gun

What do you think would be the most sci-fi airsoft gun? Besides the ones that actually replicate ones from movies.

I think it would be the Magpul Folding Machine Pistol.

Tell me what you think!

EDIT: On second thought, the title should have just been "Most Sci-Fi Gun"

arcanuck January 2nd, 2012 12:41

That is a cool gun.
How about a James Bond Laptop Gun with drone secondary mode?
If that was too complicated, this simple Toshiba could fit the bill:

The Wunderwaffe DG-2. Make it somehow chain together BBs for multi kills.

hobbidude January 2nd, 2012 13:35

Well then you'll need a sidearm. How bout this?

http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...ze-d3op4y9.png

Freeze January 2nd, 2012 13:41

lol....

aranuck: I bet that I could go salvage a an old, bulky laptop, then scrap the internals, and put a GBB in there. Then, use one of those RC servos to pull the trigger and have a hole to change mags.

Tarobear: Imagine 10000 BBs stringed on a chain....I think the chain would hit and hurt more than the BBs itself.
Also, now I'm craving some taro bubble tea!

hobbidude: WTF is that?
It looks more like a dildo than something that fires a projectile....

TaroBear January 2nd, 2012 13:44

Hobbidude posted a Zat. From the Stargate franchise. It's a stun gun the first shot, kills with the second. The third shot is supposed to disintegrate bodies, but they sort of stopped using that feature.

That and the FN2000

both of these were a significant departure in ergonomic firearm design.. ahead of their time in my opinion

Is the 2000 the one with the crazy grenade launcher attachment ahead of the "front grip"? I always thought that was a little sci-fi.

Yep... GL is not crazy.. it's their standard EGLM pretty much the same unit for the SCAR

also .. the FN2000 is an unrestricted firearm in Canada

HackD January 2nd, 2012 14:51

I'm suprised that no one has posted up the M41A1 Alien franchise gun yet, a Thompson conversion kit for airsoft.

http://img.redwolfairsoft.com/upload...WC-M41A1-L.jpg

and yeah, it's movie based obviously.. still shouldn't rule it out!

TaroBear January 2nd, 2012 14:55

the F2000 looks "less weird" now.. they pretty much dropped the "optic pod" on top.. most are shipped flat top now.. end users put the optic of their choice on.

I'd just like to see a Sterling. It was in RoboCop so by the thread yardstick it qualifies.

Freeze January 2nd, 2012 17:09

Han Solo's blaster is actually a modded C96 Mauser Broomhandle. The main mod is just the rifle scope.

Most Stormtrooper weapons were just WWII era guns with scopes attached

Stirling subgun with stubby mag + scope for the standard stormtrooper
MG42s with foregrips and scopes for longguns

Basic-Wedge January 2nd, 2012 17:44

JG Thunder Maul.

It's not a concept. It's an actual airsoft gun. I know a guy who has one. I was apparently quite easy to import, because it's not a replica.

Calibers are 9mm/22lr.

Calico, even though based in the US, is not known much. But they've been around a while! I've seen some in one of Dolph Lundgren's movies!!!

I nominate the Pancor Jackhammer.

http://world.guns.ru/userfiles/_thum...jackhammer.jpg

http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/usa/jackhammer-e.html

This thing is so goofy it looks like a 50's Ray Gun had sex with some diving equipment and then drank during the pregnancy.
The designer got around such difficult questions as "How to reliably upscale a direct gas impingement system for 12 Gauge and then slam it into a bullpup" by making the barrel assembly function as a bolt and return.

This system was so [S]retarded[/S] awesome that while cocking the weapon was very reasonably managed by manipulating the handguard, in order to change 'magazines' the shooter had to draw the trigger back half-way, which would disengage the barrel and allow the shooter to pull the handguard forward, thus ejecting the 'magazine'.
That makes reloading with any more rounds left than '0' incredibly stupid, and would make me never want to be near anyone using the thing.

When you do need to reload, after drawing a 'magazine' from your pouch you need to tear off a plastic film like opening a goddamn fruit cup.
Before or after engaging the death switch to dump the old 'mag', I'm not sure, but I guess you trained for this all through grade school lunch.

One good thing after all of this is done is that you can just toss that old 'mag'.
It's disposable.
Well, maybe only disposable by necessity, since you'll have to send your pudding cup back to the factory to be reloaded.

And we wonder why nobody ever picked up a production contract?
This gun has really only existed in videogames (only two known functioning fully-automatic prototypes) so in practical terms it actually is a sci-fi gun.

Unfortunately, no Airsoft version exists that I am aware of.
I would buy two.

Lol I wore a "bulletproof vest" to school on halloween. Out of my 4 teachers, only one knew what it was at first glance. What was also funny was that my friend had a cardboard gun for drama and I borrowed it. Then my friend comes along in full airsoft gear. I gave him the gun and his look was so complete, some people forgot it was halloween ans started to ask him how it was to be in the armed forces. No, they weren't joking. I didn't see it in the tread!

And there are several guns in the thread that are not real guns: portal gun, z140, battle star galactica gun, judge dread gun, all the nerf guns!!!!http://www.airsoftcanada.com/images/...n_banghead.gif

It's OK. I don't think the OP even knew what the thread was about.

Lol ou are right. I have prett much no idea what this thread was supposed to be other than a collection of sci-fi guns that could possibly have been an airsoft gun.

This gun fires a thermoplastic adhesive in a constant stream. It can be used to both burn the victim and attach various materials together. It can deliver a whopping 1.9 pounds of adhesive per hour. After a mere 3 minutes to warm up, it will deliver the adhesive at 392 F. A butane storage in the grip allows for it to be used anywhere. It also features a 'no drip' tip, thus conserving tiny amount of the thermoplastic adhesive and giving the user more time between reloads.

I need to get more sleep.. :D
