[Repost]Elcan SpecterDR->
I've read a lot of thread on the SpecterDR on ASC and don't find any answer to my question: I want the 1X-4X model, and with a search on the net, only Element Airsoft produce them, they're not on stock right now and I don't want a 4X model. Is any one have more information on a good 1X-4X replica?
|
Get the real steel one. Better in every way.
|
And 10 times the price too...
But no Element does not have sent the replica to retailer yet so you'll have to wait a bit longer. |
I think if I had 3000 to drop on anything it would not be on a sight for airsoft. as my luck would have it the first game i use it in the optics would get shot out or something
|
RS optics should be able to withstand a hit from a bb, but probably only up to a certain fps. I not really worried when I bring my ACOG out.
|
If that's your worry put a honeycomb or killflash on it, it will make a good protection ;)
|
Ok, someone just answer me via PM on another forum that the Element SpecterDR should be released at the end of the month, for +/- $199.99.
Do you believe this intel? |
I dunno... I'm in contact with a mainland china distributor and they still don't have any ETA... they were announced for release back in july, so really I don't know who I should believe now.
IMHO the 4X fixed + mini dot (Docter, MRD, etc) is the best solution. Based on the prototype pics I've seen, the 1-4x version has a much smaller optic diameter and most likely a shorter focal lenght, both of which are top-selling points of the 4x. |

Since the SpecterDR replica is not doing what it's supposed to be replicating, this setup is the most afordable, replica wise. |
Yeah, but the eye relief sucks on ^those^ magnifiers.
The 4X Specter has pretty good eye relief, especially for a clone. |
Friend of mine deals with the Boss of Element airsoft, and the 1-4x model is completed.... ETA end of january,
- MSRP = 149$ - Same eye relief as the fixed magnification one - Will withstand gbbr recoil :D |

Tagged for interest....
I have a real one, and if I can get ahold of a replica, I'd be very interested to compare them. http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/coffee/p...%20(Large).jpg NS |
I remember there was a model not Elcan which was 1x-4x.. So I'm sure there will be a Specter working 1-4
|
@Hitman: What? I'm not sure I get what you mean.

Well... still interested but so far my fixed 4x+ Docter is awesome. I just hope they'll get the FDE (bronze-ish) color right, and not that "Pimp Gold" color they had for the fixed one... |
Sorry, there was a 1-4x model China brand optic which was made for airsoft. I saw it somewhere, so I assume there should be the 1-4x Specter. They're probably just loafting on it..
|
Yeah well the Z-Tactical and the Element, which are actually the same company.
There was pics of another unbranded prototype, which turned out to be the Element one. |

Interestingly....
I understand from sources at the SHOT show this year, that ELCAN has now produced a fixed 4X Elcan Specter. Price savings is to be around $4-500 from the regular cost of a Specter DR. Still spendy. NS |
