Buyairsoft.ca?
after a quick search for a review with not much of a result on the forums i decided to post up.
I tried out the online chat with buyairsoft today to find out when the g&g umg will be in stock. I've also noticed its been out of stock for at least a month since ive been looking. "Madeline" responds back saying they update their online inventory every 30-60 days. Before ending the conversation i say that i would like to order as soon as possible and i thank her for helping. I come home only to find an email stating they are in stock. Coincidental? or something to be cautious about... |
avoid buyairsoft.ca like aids. They take to long to get your order and I would not support a seller that encourages kids to play airsoft.
Try the classifieds buddy, your aved now use it :P |
I'd buy from another retailer whether its in stock or not. I looked at this site when I was in the market for an AEG and I'm glad I didn't buy from them, I have heard alot about their lack of knowledge and they gave me incorrect info when I had a live chat with them (Madeline). I wouldn't trust them.

The place has had problems and users here do not enjoy the fact that they sell to underage peoples as well they have a 'kids' edition for sale. So in short, stay away. And you can find all the dirt on them with a little effort.

Oh shit.
Wow. Thanks guys. |

To be honest I've kind of had a change of heart (no I'm not "going native") but if a parent is genuinely interested and understands the risks associated with not supervising their kid while using it and always supervises them while using it and keeps it under lock and key when not in use there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to get their hands on one. I know that it's an ideal that 99% of the time doesn't happen since the parents just let their kids run amok and blame anything and everything for their screwed up kid. There are ASC members who are parents and I believe one member who has a young kid that shoots a TM "boys series" gun in the backyard with supervision and treats it like a real firearm and when not in use it's under lock and key. That's how things should be done IMO not this lazy parenting bullshit "buy my kids an airsoft leave them unsupervised and go to the mall or w/e". Really it's good reinforcement for the next generation of airsofters (I am not saying kidiots who run amok and play in public parks or w/e but the net generation of interested welcome additions to the community) Anyways, aside from my little rant I would avoid buyairsoft/CAS and instead vote with my dollar and buy from places like the retailers in the classifieds, and places that only sell to 18+ (and/or "responsible parents"). |
I'll have G&G UMG in stock in about 4-5 weeks.

FrankieCees, you're AV'd now man; there's no reason in the world for you to be shopping at BuyAirsoft
|
The one time I bought from buyairsoft.ca, they sent me the wrong gun, but it was better than the one I wanted so I kept it anyway. I would avoid them if I was you.

Buyairsoft.ca?
Haha... I saw some one with a nice quote once. I think something like sending someone to buyairsoft isnlike sending someone to a Thai hooka with no protection or something. ;) was laughing so hard

I ordered my AEG from them, didn't have any of the hassles you guys are talking about. I guess I got really really lucky! Don't think I will be buying any more from them though.
The reason I ended up ordering from them is that they had the G&G M4-CQB/R in all black, and they are starting to get a lot of all black AEGs. |

Meh..I was just going to order from them because I would be getting something brand new. No hassles.
The gun im looking only has one post up in the classifieds and they're asking for more than I would be paying with buyairsoft and theirs is used. |

Those are the questions you should be asking. If it's something like a VFC SR16 vs a G&G SR16 well which would you rather have? Extras are always nice, what's the cost of the extras? (extra) Batteries, mags (ie. mid and low-cap), optics, rails, extra flash hider? Again what's under the hood so to speak? Are they upgrade parts like Prometheus, SystemA, Modify, HurricanE, ARS, etc. or are they aftermarket "replacement parts" (ie. lower quality parts that aren't really an upgrade just something broke and needed replacing)? Who owned it previously, was it a (good) gundoc? If so it might be worth paying a little more for (ie. after factoring in deprecation if it was taken well care of by the person it might be worth a little bit more than if it was someone like me for example). |
The UMP available through Buyairsoft has a clear/tinted upper receiver, the UMP's I have seen in the classifieds are all black. So comparing a full black used UMP with extras to a clear receiver model that is brand new really isn't that accurate of a comparison. Just thought I would point that out.

I just came across this thread today, If you are looking for an UMP with a Clear Receiver then you should try looking at 007 Airsoft.
They have a UMP which is almost the opposite of the one posted on Buyairsoft.ca. The one at 007 Airsoft has a lower tinted reciever and the top is all black - A quick paint job when it arrives and you are set. Hope that helps out, I tried to add an image dowm below, sorry if it does not work but here is the link: http://www.007airsoft.com/products/htm/aeg-gg-hk.htm http://www.007airsoft.com/products/p...ages/10218.jpg |
Ya i checked out that site, its shown however its not listed under their "in stock" header so they dont have it in.
Thanks tho! |
Buyairsoft.ca are not very popular due to this whole "we sell to everyone" policy (that's it, a policy, I don't even think they are breaking any laws here. Anyways...)
From what I seen you can order from them and you will get what you wanted. Shipping is fast and customer service is "ok" even if they can be stupid sometimes. My friend ordered a gun, they shipped him one.. thought they forgot and shipped him another. |
taken from thier site from FAQ
How old do you have to be to buy/own an airsoft gun? If you are under the age of 18, you require permission from a parent or guardian to purchase products online. If you do not have permission to buy products online on your own, a parent/guardian will need to purchase products for you. While minors are permitted to buy and own airsoft guns, the use of an airsoft gun by a minor must be supervised. Goggles or safety glasses must be worn at all times during play. Particular caution must be used when playing with all-black guns. Please keep all orange barrel markers intact to ensure the public knows you are using a toy. Just thought id throw them a line from all the haters here. |
FYI new players
ORANGE BARREL MARKERS are a US "safety" measure and mean absolutly shit in Canada |

If anyone on this sight knowingly goes to buyairsoft.ca I suggest they keep that to them self. Its bad enough when a fishy business like this or shootsoft starts getting plugs from known members, soon enough though we'll have all those who circumvent the system talking about US or HK sights that will mail you misslabled guns!
Hell I am not AV'd and I know well enough that I need it! I made the mistake of not doing any research before purchase (didn't even know ASC) and had friends do the same. A local shop has treated us all pretty well (now that our clones that cost $500 are fixed) and we are constant customers for them, but I know the business cannot handle online sales in mass. I wont say go to them when I know ASC wont have to wait for stock or be 500 km away from you when it breaks down. ASC will work for you if you treat it right. I have seen many people get used weapons and post about a problem then watched as users/gundocs and the seller listed its entire history and the best guy to take a look at it. Take that buycrapsoft! |

They've knowingly sold to minors. While it isn't illegal, we don't like it. I only ever had one dealing with buyairsoft, and honestly it went well. However, my 1 good deal doesn't trump the literally dozens of bad deals reported here on ASC. |
You know there's a very old saying that I think applies to buyairsoft.ca
"You don't have to know what shit tastes like to know not to eat it." Sometimes the voice in the back of your head goes, hey something's not right. You should listen to that voice more often. Cheers |
For noobs: lessons can't be told, they have to experience it to be learned. Don't be stupid and learn to listen, or you'll just waste your money.
