75th Ranger Regiment Kit
 

Hey guys I'm new here and Im really intrested in getting the 75th ranger regiment kit and the scar so now all I have gathered is this:
NOTE: Everything in red are items that I have yet to find a retailer for them
Everything in the default color are items I have found a retailer for.
WEAPON SECTION
M9 (Going to get the KWA PTP M9)
SCAR-L (I think I'm going to get the VFC but I might go with G&G.Its still red because I havent decided)

MICH 2000 (tan version or will get OD or foilage and krylon it)

MBITR pouch: civvie version still looking for mil

It says they carry 7 mags no more no less. Now I dont know if he means in total or just rifle mags as i think 7 rifle mags would make much more sense than having 7 mags in total.

Ok so now I have no idea what else I need so all help will be very much appreciated. As time goes on I will update this post for all info.

If you're looking to do an impression, I would recommend the KSC beretta over the KWA version. They're essentially the same, but the KSC has nicer trades, the KWA version has "KWA" and a bunch of other unrealistic crap in big white letters on the slide.

Thanks Im now hunting down the KSC as airsoft GI and evike dont carry them. Ehobbyasia has it but Im looking to see if any other places have it.

Are you Canadian? If you are you can't order restricted items from those sites, but I know there's a KSC one in our age verified retailer section. If you aren't Canadian then I would highly recommend ehobby or airsoft GI, but not evike. Make sure you search for retailer reviews in addition to product reviews before you buy anything for airsoft!

Im American. Also for the KWA M9 so far ive only seen good reviews of it and i read on airsoft gi 1 that was 1 star and 1 that was 2 stars but thats 2 out of alot. if i dont get the KSC then its KWA. I dont mind the trades as much as it would be in a holster most of the time. Also my friend told me that depending on if its the milspec or civic model depends on the trades.whats wrong with evike by the way?ive never heard or read anything bad about them but ive read bad stuff about airsplat

Just FYI the latest operational pics from the 75th don't show the SCAR. They rock some Block2 M4 and SR25

KWA PTP mags can be hard to find a pricey...I speak from personal experience, I own a KWA PTP and have 2 broken mags (if you look into the magazine design, the bottom plate is held in place by 2 small and thin fins on the bottom of the magazine body; these thend to snap if you happen to even drop your mag from 12"). The magazines go for about $40.00 a piece. I have since given up on my M9 and use my 226 instead.

Rangers where issued SCAR's back in 2009, although the current state of the SCAR is up in the air, some say they have been discontinued some disagree.

Here's a little old of a picture, but shows a good impression of a ranger unit issued with SCARs. Mind you they where NOT a deployed unit and the picture was taken at a Nascar race soooo.. Take what you will from this.

He lives here in the States, and there is no problem getting them here, plus they are only $30.00 USD each.

Evike is ok if you live here in the States, but if you are in Canada, they are hit or miss--and more miss than hit from what I have read.

You'll need to sign up to view these but it's worth it. Don't ask questions till you've read them either as chock full of info and your questions may already be answered.

The short answer on building a Ranger rig is that it is totally worth it and also very difficult since some of their specific kit is rare. Going for the most current with MC and either SCAR will be a mountain to climb.

thanks for the feedback guys. in 2009 only 600 scars were deployed so there not common yet but hopefully as more troops get them itll be become more popular in the airsoft world.i havent read everything on the two threads as its alot but im gonna look at more of it later.i think ill get the KWA M9 as airsoft gi has mags for them but there sold out right now and they also have a hop up bucking which is also sold out right now for the standard but im not sure if itll work in the PTP.i dont mind about the trades too much

SCAR is not currently fielded in Afghanistan by Rangers

Ok so now I know that they use the MICH. but i dont know if its the 2000 or 2001 or any others.does anybody know which one it is?im a bit behind on what they use but im still looking for all the info.also whats a level 5 PCU as i think i might need that also.and last for right now anyway a RRV.again whats that and i probably need that too.i havent read everything on the two links as its alot but i will finish it eventually.also im looking at the other ranger thread started around mid december 2009 so i got this info from the post of that and will look through it again for more info.also i intend to read through them and gather all the info and what i still need i will post there.just remembered.do any of the items need to be in ranger green if im going to be getting multicam?

They use MICH 2000 helmets.

A Level 5 PCU is a Protective Combat Uniform designed for colder climates. There are 7 levels - 1 being the lowest amount of protection, and 7 being the highest amount.
The ranger in the photo below is wearing a Level 5 PCU Jacket.

Contracts are just being awarded for the MC gear. It'll have to get out into the wild, be spotted and then copied by someone like Flye Pantac etc. before you can get a copy. So for now RG is your only choice.

You can show at a game in whatever you like and get by. If you're planning to be one of those guys posting pics of you screen cap style with SAS shades on then you have got to get it right down to the shoelaces.

All of this was copied from Vince S's post.i know i need it all in RG.i need to know for each item a company make of each.it doesnt matter if the items are made by different items.also is the EI single M4 the mag pouch for it?if it is i need to know a mag pouch for scar h mags as i think im going to get the scar h but if not itll be the M4 style pouch.also same thing for the rack, plate carrier, and rig and anything else i need.(i am sorta newer to airsoft so i dont know what everything means yet)also the rangers carry 7 mags so i think there all single pouches but i will try and find out.if anybody can help me with any of these questions that will be very appreciated.

thanks rugger.on another forum most people were saying that ACU is a big hit me sign in woodland.if anything its more for urban.but even though people dont like MC its better to have 1 set for different environments and it will have some chance of working than having like 5 for different environments.and it might be 2011 when i start collecting everything.long story dont wanna explain.i dont mind waiting

His helmet has been painted. You can see where he used pieces of netting as a stencil.

thanks danke i was thinking it was scratched but it did kinda look painted.so do you think its OD?

Nah, it was tan, and painted over with some sort of Ranger green-esque paint and probably krylon camo tan. You can tell it was originaly tan because the scratches are tan.

Silentownage, google the item posted by Vince. You will trace suplyer and pictures. And possibly repro stuff to compensate for the genuine hard to find items.

hmm. @lonesniper i wasnt sure if it was tan or those were indeed scartches.do any of you guys think i should get it in CB then paint it or get OD and give it some sorta RG paint?

painting it shouldnt be hard as long as i find a guide first.but i will continue to look for a RG helmet to save me the trouble of painting it.
@FOX_111 i did google the items but i was only able to find the MBITR i will look on flecktarn for the other things as i didnt have time last night and they have a ton of stuff so itll take time to search for it all.but i will keep looking.

is it the right MBSS its expensive though.so i might have to find a cheaper one as 200 bucks is kinda alot for a vest.but i might end up getting it from there in the end

The MBITR pouch is the civvie version. Check the first pic I posted, it is the AI version (mil), it has the side flaps and no elastic band. The mil version will cost you anywhere from 90$ to 150$ depending on the availability at the given time.

The vest posted is the RRS-V. Again it's the civvie version as the Mil doesn't have the ALICE webbing.

Admin panel is civvie, the Mil version is the "S" style. I think Triad Tactical had some contract overruns some time ago.

Just like FSBE, RLCS is quite scarce and will easily cost twice as much as civvie EI. If you're only going for the look, get civvie stuff, it's plenty good and not much people will know the difference

Ok thanks vince.as i do want it to look as real as possible the civvie versions are fine as long as most people wont know the difference.ill update the first post now for them.i do want the mil versions but if i cant get a hold of them then ill get the civvie.as budget isnt a problem right now i can probably afford all of it in the mil version.i will look for the mil versions to see if i can find them but if anybody knows of a link for them thatd be helpful

Just check RLCS on Ebay. They do pop in once in a while. But as I said only a few items are different from the civvie version

Also, check user Vegas Vixin on Ebay. She has "repros" of the most kits made (FSBE, MLCS and RLCS). Her "repros" are actualle made by Eagle but with Mil pattern. They just don't have the NSN on the back

ok i will look.does repros mean reproduction? the RBSS isnt on my list so ill add that.so your saying that everything else besides those listed items have one version? i am trying to get the kit exact as can be.

either way i think i will need to paint both.if i get OD i will either have to put darker paint on it or lighter paint unless its the correct color.can anybody help with this so i dont have to worry about the helmet anymore.i looked on eagle and i didnt find the helmet ill probably order it from flecktarn as they ship worldwide.i just hope the shipping wont be outrageous

All ive found on ebay. I couldnt find the MOLLE belt or the RBSS unfortunately. Hopefully i can find them somewhere else.
