my apologies if it's already been brought up (i honestly didn't read through the whole thread, sorry) but are there any sten mkII or browning bar M1918 conversion kits out there.... i think re-enactment would be better with variety of guns obviously.. as opposed to everyone having thompsons :P

I'm not sure about conversion kits but there are more then just the Thompson out there.

Watching is fine but see about joining the game. There might be some one out there that might rent you a weapon. And if you don't want to join the game then bring a camera and take some pictures of the action.

Pure unadulterated evil. I've heard of alot of bad things about that site. Here is a run down of the guns, from memory, that I have seen (No included are the many fine conversions people have created over the years):

M1 Garand
M1 Carbine
M1 Thompson
M3 "Grease" gun
Kar98
MP40
MG42
MG34
STG 44
Various Pistols

Now I know I missed some as I'm just coming off of working on a bridge deck all night (I love concrete :S) and I am rather tired.

I've heard the same thing. I wasn't suggesting that he order from there I just wanted to point out that there are more weapons then just the Thompson.

I think you can leave the markers at home. Or better yet sell them and put the money towards ab airsoft gun.

Go to the events thread and post in the August 26 event to see if some one will rent you a gun.

Okay Guys, We are two weeks out from the WWII milsim on August 26 at FR. We have a good number of players signed up but it would be nice to have more. So, if you have WWII gear, or some WWII Gear, or have none but would like to try out a WWII milsim go to the thread in the Ontario Events and sign up. Here is a chance to check out the gear for both sides. A good turn out will mean more WWII milsims in the future.

Thanks,
Lee

Hey Baker10, I'm glad you are interested in WWII airsofting. Unfortunately, 15 is a little too young but I encourage you to continue to keep in touch, we can always use future recruits. :salute:

Over 5 months later

Well, it was over 5 months ago that I posted this thread and I thought it would be interesting to see where we stand. To start off, I am no longer the only one running around the field in WWII gear at regular skrimishes. Interest in both Allies and Axis is continuing to grow. We have had two WWII milsim events with very good success. It was great to see the German and Allied impressions on the field of battle. The third is scheduled for Oct. 29th, 2006 and by the looks of it will be our best turn out to date.

We will have a table setup at the Toronto Airsoft Milsim Convention on Oct. 28th, to try and get more people interested.

Last but not least... Ontario Airsoft WWII Re-enactors has a home, sort to speak. I have created a web site, in an effort to try and make it more organized. I don't want to take away anything from ASC, it's a great site, and we will continue to use it to post events and stay in touch with the larger Airsoft community. But having our own web site will help to pull everything more together.

The new site is not completely finished but it's almost there. So, go and check it out and better still... join up!

Thanks,
Lee
