True, but how are people supposed to look Operator As F**k without wearing PCs?

Drake May 29th, 2013 16:42

The video is from Dec 2012, obviously not related to the current ban which just got announced.

This is the #1 reason I don't advocate plates or plate carriers in game.

So much of this shit happens it isn't funny.

That's complete BS used as a lame excuse by people who get caught not calling hits: we run all kinds of gear and plates and you can feel the BB plink against it, and you can usually hear it too. Soft crap (closed cell foam stuff) is a lot worse because that does absorb impact.

Agreed, it's a slippery slope; but in all honesty the things should be banned in milsim. In fact, why stop there, put mags in the pockets. Fuck it. Shirts must be removed.

ThunderCactus May 29th, 2013 17:20

Yeah, in 7 years I've seen more people not call hits (unintentionally) from getting hit in the arms while running than from plate carriers.
You usually don't feel BB hits from vests either depending on the thickness of the vest. And every LBV needs pouches lol

It's not like we're running around with DAPS and bomb disposal suits. The plate carrier is probably the most common LBV in airsoft these days, if it was a problem we'd know lol

Regardless of whatever evidence the video may or may not have, it's an operator problem, not a gear problem

Now we're going to have to re-watch all the episodes of "The Unit". Bring your snuggie over and we'll start tonight. I am not sharing mine again thank you.

Besides, we're not talking about iffy long range hits they might not have felt. We're talking about 400fps with .25's, within 10-20 feet. Amount of gear at that point is no excuse. If you can't feel it (you can), you're definitely going to hear it, you're almost certainly going to see it.

Play against them and you will beg to differ on their antics

The only answer is MOPP 4

From the moment you arrive until the moment game ends, you will not take the suit off, unless entering a "safe" zone, but this will require decontamination procedures.

ThunderCactus May 29th, 2013 19:39

That sounds like a fun thing for us to do lol

Madrigal May 30th, 2013 02:01

Aaaaaand....American MilSim has also enforced the ban. The GMR are pretty well banned from everything MilSim in the states.

I'm not disagreeing with first hand knowledge, the remark was aimed towards the hate train.

i can't recall how many times i've stopped at full run because i heard a bb hit my plate carrier`. i have video evidence of me doing just that. i have however apparently been hit in the arms/legs and not felt it.

if you wear one all the time you know the sound from over a hundred feet away

I play with full kevlar and plates. Never did I not feel or hear a hit.
Maybe if moving in wooded erea and someone shoot my backpack...

In CQB like they where in... it's all douchebagry on their part!

I read a lot on them in the past houres. They where a team of douchebags. That alone is ban worthy.

Drake May 30th, 2013 10:34

Agreed. The video is too shitty to make a definitive call on non-called hits, but the one thing that stands out is that they're fucking assholes.
