Its way nicer in person than in picture... I used a cheap 90$ kodak.
Pretty nice quality, easy fitting. Take less than 8 minutes changing between original stock and M1 carbine.

The barrel in front of the wood stock, is it all the same width, or does it taper as it gets to the opening?

EDIT: Also, very pretty.

Reason I ask is because I want to do something... like.. this: (purists, avert your eyes)

I chrono'ied it at our ww2 game. It was shooting at 470-478 fps with .28g (was about 26-28c that day). Other thing i noticed was the hopup didn't work at all... :(

I'm scared to chrony mine with the 6.03mm 380mm tightbore. It already chronies 350 on 0.4's with the stock 250mm barrel. That's the equivalent of 480 on 0.20's.

The stock barrel does not taper. Same width to the end of the barrel.

Sorry, my question was directed at the M1 Carbine kit, not the stock gun's barrel.

The barrel that come with the kit does tapper. From 16.8mm (near the wood stock) to 14.4mm at the end of the barrel.

I really hope Ra-tech come with a npas for the KJW-KC02... 478fps with .28 is way over 500 fps with .20 :(

Also need to receive my mags for it... fucking CP...

Good to know, I'll have to make friends with a metal worker with a lathe...

"9mm" type long mags announced

Strelok June 26th, 2011 12:14

SHaKaL, do you plan on getting the iron sights for that set? I think that'd complete it a lot better than a rail.

They are pretty impossible to find right now.

Easy....just use the stock inner barrel. I'll never game my extended tightbore, I just bought it for kicks. The gun is already insanely accurate.

That doesn't make sense, .22 mags should be curved.

I'd be happier with a flush shorty magazine and take the hit of less gas in the mag... But the 9mm type look pretty fly. :)

Yes i plan to buy the set. Also the oiler and a sling.

The ''straight'' mags will be better looking for the M1 Carbine mod.
Might buy some when they come out. But i prefer the smaller curved one because they fit in my ww2 Garand ammo belt.

Also; i don't think the stock barrel and aluminum tube fit in the M1 outer barrel.

An airsoft .22 makes no sense anyway.

:D

Yeah well. No matter what gun it's based on, it's a hell of a performer.

I'd buy one once they have a NPAS out for it cause the FPS limit at our field is 420 for AEG/GBBR even if its semi-auto only.
