TM VSR-10
TM L96
Maruzen APS System

Anything else isn't even worth bothering with.

This is coming from 1st hand experience.

TM VSR

PROS:
-Reliability is unmatched
-Stock shoots 310fps
-Easy to upgrade
-light weight
-sturdy
-sports the best selection of specific upgrade parts

CONS:
-it's plain looking
-it's harder to attain

With tons of easy to find parts made by PDI and Laylax and others specifically designed around it, and it's quite easily customized as well. You just can't beat them really. Not to say that there aren't other good snipers out there, but quality, and reliabilty are everything at the end of the day. Of course buy what you want, but looking different doesn't do you any real favors. The reason so many experienced snipers have them should send a message. I see Well, Echo 1, UTG, ...ect, for sale all the time. There's another message.

Since cost wasn't on your list, stay away from clones lol
I've got the same recommendation as Amos. The marui's may be hard to obtain, and they ARE plain, but REALLY easy to paint :D

Aha yeah, I just wish they were easier to obtain

Get a PSG-1.
/end thread.

Ricochet October 4th, 2011 10:54

What!? PSG-1 is Electric. So don't get one if you want a sniper rifle that will out shoot an M4. Feel free to look up any review. (TM PSG VS VSR) I think you'll find the comparisons enlightening.

ThunderCactus October 4th, 2011 15:11

You can get the PSG-1 shooting pretty damn good, but in the end, it's still an AEG.
I'd sooner recommend an AUG or G3 SG-1 over a PSG-1. People out here haven't had much luck with PSG-1s.

THEMAKKER13 October 4th, 2011 15:57

Yeah sorry my recommendation was kinda bad haha. I play on private property and my friends and I don't really have fps limits...

Delta Charlie October 4th, 2011 19:57

I wish the TM and maruzens were more common in Canada, it would be so much nicer

Echo1 m28....for out of the box performance nothing else out there can touch them. I picked one up from my work (old display model), took it apart and was really impressed with what I found.
-6.03mm tb (actually straight too!)
-3 actual barrel spacers (stake them on the barrel with tape on each side so they don't move)
-adjustable trigger group (length of pull etc)
-100% cloned VSR-10 hopup chamber with good tolerances.
-Fluted outer barrel (sexy as f&%$)
-barrel adapter for a suppressor or flash hider (-14mm), or you could rock the bull barrel look.
-Harris type Bipod, not bad at all, really.
-super heavy duty glass fibre stock (makes a Marui feel like a toy)
I really could go on all day about this gun, as it is just great for a stock gun. With that being said, I did take the gun down to bits to do some tweaking (align hop up, clean barrel really well, new piston O-ring etc), also I had removed the stock spring (520fps!) and exchanged it for a PSS10 spring that settled in around 430fps W/.2g, If you do not do this, kiss you're sears goodbye, OR you could always upgrade with PDI VSR10 sears.
All of this aside, its you're choice, alot of people love there Marui B.A's, (I love mine!!) but there are other options out there that will do the job for a lot less.

Jsquared October 9th, 2011 01:16

Hey guys, I posted a thread about accuracy on my M007, Its inaccurate as f%$k! I am going to get a new inner barrel for it I was suggested something in a 6.03, as well I need want to get a new spring for it. Anyone know what spring to get for like 400ish Fps? Out of box it shot 0.2's at 500 fps....

By the Way, trust what these guys are saying, go good on the first buy or you will end up like me ... I have to spend a bit to to this Tercle m007 Shooting Straighter.

ThunderCactus October 9th, 2011 02:17

6.03 to 6.05 will work well. There are 2 different diameters of springs, so you'll have to find out what you have now. Google PDI springs and you should be able to find the fps chart. And buy a firefly hop rubber if you haven't already, best upgrade you can make to any gun.

the Echo 1 M28 loos pretty cool inside and out, and it would be a lot easier to obtain vs TM or Maruzens, if I got it, I might put an upgraded trigger box in. I have also heard really goo things about it. It's very sexy, but I also really like the feel of the pistol grip on the l96's. The only problem is, I don't know how much I would upgrade one if I got one. I want to get the most reliable, accurate, gun for my money
