KSC perfect's are great quality (but don't work well with PTWs for some reason)..

EXCEL BIO bbs are alright, but they can fragment into extremely small shards which can be bad if someone is using mesh goggles.

Playing against people who use bio bb's is not very fun at all. :|

Nothing like getting shot in the goggles, having a bio bb disintergrate, and then being inhaled. I was choking for 10 minutes. :|

yeah i guess, but common man, save the planet...

What is it, bio bb's take 3 weeks to disintergrate and regular BB Bastards take 2 months?

What's 5 weeks? Correct me if I'm wrong, someone.

theguy July 10th, 2008 13:05

are you sure about that? i trust your knowledge on this more then mine, but normal plastics takes hundreds, or even thousands of years to biodegradable...maybe all BB's are made out of different plastics then normal...

lolwut? Ever seen a plastic bottle left to weather outside for a month in direct sunlight? It'll be brittle and cracked to hell. Keep in mind that that bottle has a slower rate of decay than a bb (which has lower mass and chemical properties).

I doubt a bb would take longer than 6 months tops to decay entirely. Again, I'd need someone who's researched it to agree.

here's a better question: does the planet really need saving?

and now for a quote from a great human being "the planet is fine the PEOPLE are fucked"

theguy July 10th, 2008 13:37

ahh yes! it really does man, like really....really...really does, and also, don't forget, a plastic bottle is much thiner plastic...you can bend a plastic bottle with one finger, ever tried to break a BB's without like a hammer?
and also, when i mean biodegrade, i mean like totally biodegrade, like gone...

rexdlu July 10th, 2008 13:42

no we're doomed

Crunchmeister July 10th, 2008 13:45

KSC do make bio-BBs if I remember correctly, but they're not the "Perfect" ones.

As for BBs degrading, they may degrade, but it takes time - even bio-BBs. I tried those Arctic White BBs from Walmart for when I brought my guns out to my friend's place in the country to plink. The idea was that I didn't want to litter his yard with BBs. I was hoping they would break down quickly. Bio BBs from our shooting last winter are still to be found. They're whole and round with only some minor pitting. That's after being outside exposed to the elements for 6 months. So if bio BBs have hardly degraded at all in 6 months outside, I can imagine that it takes significantly longer for regular BBs.

George had it right...

WarHawk109 July 10th, 2008 13:46

i mean what's the plastic going to do to dirt.

it's just dirt.

theguy July 10th, 2008 13:46

yeah I think that even if we totally turned around our lifestyle, we still wouldn't see a difference for many years, and even if we were to do that, there would have to be a massive wealth re-distribution throughout the world, and we would be on the losing side of that equation...

WarHawk109 July 10th, 2008 13:48

"wealth re-distribution"

*shudder*
