I have to be 18 just to play.....are you serious?

yes, airsoft is serious business...

Brendan Mattie November 6th, 2007 20:51

what

just wondering but why would you have to be 18, I see 5 yr old kids walking around with paint ball guns... I think one of them could hurt you a lot more then an air soft gun ( but I'm just a noob:( )

Read up on your history of Airsoft and the law.

And... a paintball gun, and a replica are completely different things. It's not the potential damage they're worried about.

I seriously doubt you ever saw a 5 year old with a paintball gun, else it would have been your civic duty to call the cops ASAP.

Yeah, airsoft is very hardline when it comes to minors. Besides, since you are 17, why not wait out the few remaining months and put money aside, you'll need it.

hmm i dont know about where you live but i know some places will allow people in the ages 16-18 just go ask the site of where you wish to play, what the age requirments they have are, most likly youll need parental supervision but im not sure if your brother will count.. but you should really ask those who host the games

In most places, yes. Why? That involves a lot of real laws that can bite.
Ownership is 18+.
Did you read the FAQ yet? It's all there. Read it.

Good lord! .. isn't this like the 4th or 5th person in the last 3-4 days who randomly comes in barging wanting to play, turns out they are under age? well hey atleast your 17 but still, read up on your faqs PLEASE

Hectic November 7th, 2007 08:14

Some host will allow you to play under 18 if you are with your parent or guardian however usually that is if the parent guardian is an experienced player.
Welcome! read, learn, save and we will see you on the field next season!
:)
