What's this discount you speak of?

Karnage August 10th, 2007 11:31

WGC is one of the more expensive places

ive compared prices to Redwolf and such, not much difference, some stuff, WGC is more expensive, some stuff, redwolf is more expensive. it's around 50/50 there.

Hmm i never got the discount and i bought from them 3 times. I don't use hotmail but it wouldn't surprise me if they still have the problem. So many people spam using hotmail >_>

Actually I have been having trouble with WGC and Paypal as of late, I do about 300$ USD every month, and as of late I have been waiting a week alone to get my stuff packed, and then been delayed twice before shipping.

Paypal has been giving me a hard time when I order from WGC for 190USD or more, so I have been paying double shipping do to the fact that I can't do a large order.

Has this issue been happening to others?

Skladfin August 10th, 2007 17:56

not me since I haven't done any order over $190USD

Karnage August 10th, 2007 18:03

redwolf is also considered one of the more expensive places heh

Try 12 hours.

I've had them reply to me at 2-3pm Eastern time before, which is 2-3am. I have a pretty good report with Henry & John - those guys never seem to sleep and are workaholics at times. I've met John, and he's a good guy. As for Henry, the guy stays up so late working that when I went to visit them in the afternoon, the frigging guy was sleeping. lol.

As for the member discount, it adds up credits or points with WGC which can be entered in to raffles and/or draws for guns or accessories. Unfortunately, that's no good to Canadian citizens if you win a gun. Before I went wholesale with them, I had racked up about $20,000 in purchases and never saw a discount. None of those orders exceeded $2000 USD in one shot.

The only time you see a discount is when a SINGLE order racks up over I believe it's $3,000 USD. Even still, it's one discount grade above that... I've ordered as much as around $23,000 in a single order and I didn't get a bigger discount than at $3,000. Keep in mind, the numbers in this particular paragraph were based on my wholesale account.

Then again, I moved to wholesale shortly after they introduced that credit/point system. If I kept paying regular prices, who knows, something may happen.

The discount that we got went to around 6-7% when we did the last order around 2002-03. I did my ordering through my friend at work because I did not have a computer at that time. We were regularly ordering $1000+ USD every month since he started me into airsoft back in 2000.

WGC membership points are accumulated for every purchase you have made with WGC. The more points you have the more discount you can enjoy. The discount rate will be shown on the quotation or after you have checked out.

I was wondering about that points entry on my account information. It says something in the FAQ about a discount based on past transactions, but doesn't say how it works... haven't seen a discount yet either. Good to know that no one seems to understand it better.

I'm just curious, since WGC seems to have a much more..."primitive" Check-out system, if someone who's ordered from them in the past can tell me if I have to pay in USD, or if I can just send the equivalent in CAD?

Skladfin March 31st, 2008 11:15
