shorter and wider. I took a photo for you to compare the two. I would suggest seeing if anyone in your local area has one you could borrow, so you can have a better idea of the size difference.

hope that helps!

P.S: good choice in sleds! (your jacket)

Those shingles are pretty cool... good job bud..

Dracheous February 2nd, 2007 20:45

All material bought from DIYTactical ;).... Already got into those ideas. However I saw the shingle mags on various rigs that were up for sale and wanted to get a set... but at $30 a pop it was too rich for my blood. And so instead I started ordering material and just making stuff... I figure if I can get it to work I don't care too much how it looks... always down the road when I finish college and get a better payin job with some job security to it... I can start budgeting getting the REAL stuff. And this way let more resources go to the guns when I can... since I'm more a gun whore than a gear whore.

Also note, don't know if I said this here yet, but don't let your mother find out you figured out the sewing machine, I have a pile of clothes she wants fixed. -.-.

Measurements would help Graham.

Dracheous February 2nd, 2007 21:05

Just eyeballing and arguing the axis with Hazard, I'm betting on the dimensions being 1 inch wide, 4 inch long and 5 inch tall. But if he measured it up, that'd help.

Graham February 2nd, 2007 21:11

damn, I would measure it but I'm out of my house now! I'll get back to you sorry.

hey drach; I see on DIYtactical, is everything by the yard? I'm guessing that 10.93 for desert tan is the cost for one yard then huh?
I'll be picking up an eagle rhod recon vest soon and there's some mods needed done to it.

Yep, everything is by the yard with them. Always check what their "special" are running. Depending on how much you buy depends how much you pay. Like if you're getting 18 yards, you get 20 and basically get those 2 yards free!

or 5-6, or 10-12. Just depending where their cuts are. Also they seem to carry a god supply as my order was pretty large.

Its a first attempt at the rolly polly and there are a couple flaws, the only one that really bugs me is that off center eye-let. But I guess the water won't give a damn when its draining.

CDN_Stalker February 8th, 2007 19:32

Since "Lego-Hair" started this thread on sewing + beer, I figured I'd add some pics of the combat suspenders I recently made (ok, last fall):

hows progress?

Naerah February 10th, 2007 02:45

Damm thats some freaking nice work. Who cares about that off centered eye-let, for a first attemps its a really nice piece of art.

Graham February 12th, 2007 20:15

Go man go!

I think he's spending more time with 'Miss Clarol Hair Epoxy for Men' and his favourite comb than he is actually sewing. Lol

Dracheous February 12th, 2007 20:45

Well now that I have the OD webbing in my possession I can start trying to make some up in green...

I made two more since last of the CB, I have one more here that just needs two bits of velcro and its done. However I did stop to make one other thing...

I'd started the single point battery sling a while ago. It didn't it just right and I decided to redo it. While I was at it I made a better bag to hold the battery.
