Another issue with slide mounted RDS is the added weight to the slide. I'd like to try an RDS with a frame mount, I, for sure, am grabbing an RDS for my CAPS rifle setup.

You're welcome to try my setups out. I think I'm going to stick with frame mounted optics from now on (if I'm using optics at all.)

If you're still running a stock Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 mid-frame, Shooters Design makes probably the best easily dropped-in mount base. No additional drilling/tapping required, but you are required to use the Marui 5.1 frame.

It's not too bad for acquiring a sight picture...and following up for doubles or triples. But it does take some getting used to since the dot seems to "jump" around. It also seems to float in "nothing-ness", in that there aren't any reference points to line things up. With a RDS on a rifle, the 3rd contact point is the stock in your shoulder...no such thing with a pistol and it takes quite a bit of getting used to.

If I put optics on my pistol...I'm going for a side mount with an integrated aimpoint ring. I'm struggling with putting optics on at all...95+% of the time I don't even remember looking at my iron sights, and then there's the long/aimed shots where the comfort/familiarity of iron sights (fiber optic fronts) is really nice. Optics are probably going to f*ck me up for a while until I adjust.

I wish I can make the 12th, but for sure I'll be in for the 30th....Too bad Huang don't carry belt, I had to get the CR Speed's belt....but his mag holder and holster is pretty nice.

I have to admit... I bit your style. Slides sent off to manufacturer today to have them cut to fit a sight tracker barrel. :D

Are you getting the gold sight tracker barrel with silver topside like the rear deal?

Hmm... I didn't clarify the silver top-side... at this point, I'm content with all gold. I should probably lace down a couple of diamonds along the track...

That's just a sick setup...nice!

I love this gun! i want one so bad to put in a display case (shelf queen) but im not verified yet :(

Just wait till you're verified, then you'll have some fun.

However this gun itself is quite the custom build, you're not really gonna find one so openly available for sale

Ohh i know that.. .im willing to upgrade it!

Stock one with metal slide im sure i can find!

how much does it cost to cut off your slide so that it would fit the hybrid outer barrel. If affordable, I would like to cut off my slide also.

and whats the procedure? just tell the manufacturer that you would like your slide to be cut off?
